Mushu Does the Happy Dance

Mushu, who is now 6 months old does the happy-dance when "mommy" comes home from work. I'm not sure who's happier!

11 Weeks

This is Mushu playing in the driveway with Josi. He's 11 weeks in this photo. You can see spring sprouting all around. Everything is green (some flowers add some color).

4.5 Hours

Today was the first time Mushu was left alone for any real time. 3.5 hours this morning. When I got home, there was no problem,  so we had lunch and I went back to work. Then I came home 4.5 hours later and I thought he would kill himself getting out of the crate. Still no mess in the crate.  Based on today, it appears that Mushu has a 4.5 hour capacity at this time. Let's see how this bears up as we go forward.

Confidence

It's amazing to see Mushu's confidence change from the first time we took him outside until where he is now. Originally, he was scared of every twig or blade of grass. Now he bounds around like he owns the place, which he does.

Saturday Morning. We took Mushu out back to try to get him tired. He played quite a bit. When we brought him inside, he just fell asleep for at least a couple hours. Totally zonked.

We've just gotten home from our first visit to the Vet. Also the first ride in the Miata. Not sure he likes riding in cars yet. He's still not eating much, but he's a lot of fun so far. This is 1 day at home so far. He came home at 4pm on Thursday and this is 2pm on Friday. He's met the UPS-man and several nice people at the vet's office.

Mushu's Brand New Digs

Check out Mushu's new home. It won't be vacant for many more days. D-minus-6 and counting. And yes, he will drink from a water bottle. It's not good for him to always have a wet face.

This is Mushu's Grandfather. In this picture, he's in a show. He is a champion Shih Tzu. Mushu will probably look something like this guy, but with MUCH shorter hair. Only show-dogs keep their hair this long.

Meet Mushu. In this picture (8 March 2010), he's just under 6 weeks old. He was born on 24 January 2010. In case you can't tell, he's a Shih Tzu. He'll be coming home on 25 March, just after his 8 week birthday.
